After we receive the details, we can start the process.
Yes. All appointments require a deposit of $100+ gst. The deposit will be kept to secure your appointment. The deposit amount will come off the price of the tattoo during your last hour of tattoo time when the project is completed. When booking via text or email, we will request a deposit via E-Transfer. This is the only way to send a deposit without stopping by the shop in person. We are unable to accept a credit card over the phone (it is a fraud prevention policy). When we send the instructions, we will request the E-Transfer be sent to the owners email (monaschwindt@shaw.ca). Once a deposit is received, we will confirm.
*Please note that all deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. Should you need to reschedule your appointment, you may do so with 72 HOURS notice. Failure to give us sufficient notice will result in forfeiting your deposit and new one will be required for any future bookings.
No problem. If you live outside the city, we can work with you through a combination of email correspondence, phone calls and a deposit in the form of an e-transfer.

No. Consultations are always free of charge!
Most tattoos don’t require a separate consultation but if one is needed, we can book it for you, no problem.
Yes. Gift certificates are available at the reception desk anytime during regular business hours. They are available in any denomination and never expire.

Strange World Tattoo utilizes the highest standards of sterilization and cross contamination prevention procedures possible.
Strange World Tattoo is a clean, ALBERTA HEALTH SERVICES APPROVED shop.
Protocols we follow…
-Autoclave sterilization of all instruments at the shop. Autoclaving is the only acceptable form of sterilization for a tattoo shop.
-Autoclave spore testing is done once a month by an independent laboratory. Test results are posted at the front counter.
-Each item sterilized has indicator tape to verify it has been processed properly.
-Each autoclave load is tested with comply strips to ensure proper sterilization conditions have been met.
-All items that may be touched during a procedure are barrier wrapped to prevent cross contamination.
-All needles are pre-packaged, sterile and single use. Needles are disposed of immediately after each tattoo procedure into a biohazard sharps container.
