Tattoo Aftercare for the transparent clear bandage

-Leave your bandage on for two overnights.

-You may experience some fluid accumulation underneath. This is normal. Some get a lot of fluid, some get a little and some get none at all.

When you remove your bandage, do it in a clean environment with clean hands.

-Find an edge of the bandage and gently pull it back on itself keeping it parallel to the skin rather than pulling upwards as this can cause trauma and discomfort.

-You can remove your bandage in the shower with warm water or dry just before the shower (everyone has an opinion on what works best for them).

-After it’s removed, clean your tattoo with your fingertips only using a mild, unscented soap several times in very warm water. We recommend PurSan skin cleanser available at Strange World Tattoo.

-Pat dry with a clean paper towel

Ongoing aftercare

-Let the tattoo dry out for 2-3 days after the bandage has been removed. Daily showers (short showers) are okay and always pat dry after- Do not rub.

-Moisturize a couple times a day for 3-4 weeks with a light unscented lotion. We recommend PurTat aftercare cream available at Strange World Tattoo

-No excessive soaking in water! Showers are fine but NO baths, pools, hot tubs, lakes or rivers for a minimum of 2-3 weeks.

-No direct sunlight until the tattoo is fully healed or a minimum of two weeks.

-NEVER pick or scratch a healing tattoo. Allow all the peeling, flaky skin to fall off naturally.

Once your tattoo is fully healed, be sure to use high SPF sunscreen to protect it while outdoors.
